First Week Back at School!
Kia Ora everyone! (and especially Caitlin!)
What an awesome start to 2018 we've had! It's only been 3 days but it feels A LOT longer.
This week we have learned what it means to "LEARN LIKE A PIRATE" because pirates are brave, take risks (even if they are unsure of their destination), travel with a diverse crew, and are very independent!
Already, Miss Maihi is SO impressed with the way we organize ourselves, use our initiative to tidy up the classroom and also how we are able to be independent learners who keep their learning going - even when she has to talk to visitors in the classroom. YAHOO!
So far with our computer skills, some of us learned how to copy+paste, while others have learned to generate a QR code for a Youtube video.
Next up: How to write an email!
B7 has been so busy during the day with lots of different things going on: We started delivering lunch orders to classes this week, wrote our class rules in Kiwi Can and played some games, then some of us became home bag monitors straight afterwards too! Lucky our Year 6's are keeping an eye on the time for us so we can go do our duties.
Hey! Did you know the SUPER BOWL is coming up - it will be LIVE on TV next Monday. We've researched what the Super Bowl actually is and chosen our own topics to present to the class later in the term.
Do you know/remember what it is? Why is it a special event?
