On the 6th of April we had a spectacular guest, his name was Jordan Taufua. He plays f or the Crusaders. He has been playing for the Crusaders for five years and scored 20  tries. He is 25 years old. When he arrived, at lunch time we played touch Jordan was the referee it was an amazing journey playing wit a Rugby player as a referee. Jordan came to my class. We all asked him questions. Then he had to go to different classes like B11 and B7.  The large crowd of classes asked Jordan some questions. One of the students asked him "What is your favourite food?" then he replied  "salmon and broccoli" and then another person asked "who is your BIGGEST rival?" then he replied "The Blues."  Afterwards we played a game. It was called stuck in the mud. I loved it, it was so fun.

B4’s Class Trip to ASB Polyfest!!!  “Have a good day at Polyfest, be good!” My Mum called. “Ok bye Mum!” I responded. I hurried to class just before the bell rang. A few minutes later all the children came racing into class. After everyone settled down Whaea Teagan split us into four groups. Then she gave us our name tags to put on our uniform.  Then Whaea Teagan gave a map to each group, of the whole Polyfest venue. Five minutes later the three parent helpers turned up, then we grabbed our bags and jumped on the bus with B9. We drove in the bus with B9 for 30 minutes (It felt like 30 minutes.) When we arrived at Polyfest we hopped off the bus and went through security. Then Whaea Teagan told us to gather in our groups with our parent helpers. After we had our little meeting we were allowed to go. My groups parent helpers name was Sandhya and the kids in our group were Maranique, Tynan, Devine, Namrata and Mustafaa. We went wandering around lo...

Yesterday morning I saw a Rugby player his Name was Jordan Taufua.  It was lunch time when Whaea Teagan, said everybody can eat their lunch outside today, because she went to the office and came back with a surprise... it was Jordan Taufua!   Jordan plays rugby for a New Zealand team named Crusaders. He came to our school to show and help us learn his skills in kicking the ball, passing the ball and making tries. He told us lots of information about himself, he is 25 years old, he is from Takanini Auckland, but lives in Christchurch at the moment, his favourite food is the fish Salmon, and broccoli.  Jordan is cool, because he signed everyone's bags, hats, book bags and arms.     |  Edit  |  Delete Add a new:   Blog   Calendar   Comment Area   Embedded Item   File Set   Image Gallery   Link Set   Page   Quiz Set

"Ok class put your lunch away so you can go outside" said my beautiful teacher Whaea Teagan. When Jordan came I said in my head "Is that Jordan Taufua from the Crusaders? I can't believe it, he is so handsome... and I saw him on the 4:30 show! He was teaching these two boys how to tackle, he showed them the hard parts and he showed them where there front leg goes." After that Whaea Teagan showed Jordan to Matua Dallas's class. Later that day we went on the field because we wanted to play touch. Whaea Teagan told me to go get two rugby balls because we had no balls. Finally after lunch time we got 2 minutes to ask him questions. Someone asked him "what's your favourite food?" he replied "well I really love salmon" and I also learned that after his games he loves McDonald's and his most likely food is Taro. After that we went outside with all the classes to play stuck in the mud, what ever he says that we have or not, the pe...

Snowball maths!!!

Hello have you played Snowball Math before? The reason why we played this game was to practise our box method and multiplication strategies. This is how you play:  You get a piece of paper  and write any kind of math question on it but we wrote two-digit times tables (for example  12 x 54 ) then you scrunch it up into a round paper ball.  Next everyone will throw their scrunched paper ball in the air like a  snowball or a beautiful Bell bird flying in the sky but just faster. Anyway, when it lands on the ground you pick one up but if no paper ball lands next to you then you try and find one or ask someone nicely if they can pass you a spare one. The next thing you do is open your snowball and solve the math question in your book. And that's how you play math snow ball. When we  played it my friend and I were really excited and mad because we didn't get to finish the last one.  by Malayah and Madison

My Fantastic Spelling

Hi folks, today I am going to tell you how we did our spelling last week t o practice some of our spelling words. First we studied our spelling and vocabulary words so we could be ready to spell them.  Then we got organised into two lines down the sides of the room - we did girls vs boys. Our teacher called out a word for us to spell and we had to get it right in order to shoot the paper ball into the basket to get points. When we threw the ball we had to choose our starting line that says 5 points, 10 points and 100 points. If we got the paper ball in the basket we would that number of points for our team.  That was so frustrating because it was so hard to spell the words, and trying to throw the paper ball into the basket. by Maranique

It was a fabulous day because we went everywhere and everyone in me and my mums group said that my mum was the best beacaues  she went to fun places and she let us play for so long.  Then we had to leave to another place which was the Divesity Stage. Then we went to meet her by the block of toilets next to where my mum let us play. And I found her!
